W. Bruce Stewart, M.D. joined the Colon and Rectal Specialists practice in 1978.
Areas of Special Focus
Screening Colonoscopy; Prevention and Treatment of Colorectal Cancer; Diagnose and Manage Anorectal Conditions by Medical and Surgical Means.
Education
He received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University and his medical degree from The University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. He completed a surgery residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Stewart also completed a Fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at The Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans.
Memberships
Dr. Stewart is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Additional memberships include the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Piedmont Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and Chesapeake Colorectal Society.
Certifications
Dr. Stewart is board-certified by The American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He sees patients at our three office locations.
